1. Get up an hour early
This is going to take discipline, but it is the habit that will help all the other habits. The reason is: time. It gives you the time to do what you need to set up your day. Sacrifice the late night TV for an amazing day. It will be the best investment of your time.
2. Drink a glass of water
There are a lot of studies that show how a simple glass of water gets your internal system working. Just a quick glass of water helps wake you up and get you moving.
3. Eat a great breakfast
This is the most important meal of the day. It is going to give you the energy you need to take on the day. There is an old saying my wife taught me: “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen, and dinner like a pauper.” Your breakfast needs to be your best meal of the day.
4. Get moving
One of the best things you can do to get the right chemistry going is to get moving. Yes, that means exercise. It could be walking, jogging, yoga or the gym. Your body is different than anyone else’s, so pick one form of exercise and get moving.
5. Listen to something positive
You have to fill you mind with positive ideas. If you are like I used to be, I did not understand how bad the negative stories on the radio were that were coming into my mind. It is truly toxic. If you keep getting the same information, and keep thinking the same way, are you ever going to break through? Get some positive information every morning and watch how fast you start to reach higher levels of performance, and how much happier you will be.
