According to reports, one of the officers died immediately, while the other died at the hospital. The incident occurred at a checkpoint close to the Bayelsa State College of Health Technology.
The gunmen, who opened fire suddenly on the unsuspecting officers, carted away rifles, ammunition belonging to the deceased officers at the.police check point.
