Sanwo-Olu Signs Bill Prohibiting Open Grazing In Lagos Into law

The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, signed into law, the bill prohibiting open cattle grazing and trespass of cattle on land in Lagos State.

With the signing of the bill on Monday, September 20 , the bill has now become a law in the entire state and it is now illegal to move cattle about for grazing in the state.

This was after the Lagos state House of Assembly passed the bill that prohibits open cattle grazing in the state, on September 9, 2021.

The bill was passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers at the sitting where the bill was read the third time.
